• I source most of my hardwoods from northern Ohio. I am extremely fortunate to have a family member in Ohio that owns a small one person sawmill and a large tract of land that he sustainably manages. Seldom does he ever cut down live trees. Most of the logs are harvested from trees blown down by storms and occasionally logs are brought to him by tree removal services when land is being cleared for new construction. These trees would typically be taken to a landfill, but instead, they are used to make unique and wonderful pieces of functional art. On my site you will see some items made from spalted wood. That is wood that he has rescued from the forest floor. If not harvested it would have completely rotted away, but instead it is sawn into boards at just the right time, which enabled nature to add streaks of color, beautifying the wood into something spectacular. It is immensely satisfying to know that these trees are given a second life; made into something useful and beautiful.

  • For items purchased within a 350 mile radius of St. Augustine, Florida, I prefer to deliver the items myself for $125 dollars. If purchased outside the 350 mile radius, I will coordinate the use of a white glove shipping company to deliver your art piece safely. The purchaser is responsible for the charges for the white glove shipping services. All deliveries are guaranteed, and fully insured.

  • The majority of my finishes are a catalyzed two part satin lacquer. I use this for its durability and long lasting strength against wear. There are times when I create something that may be exposed to the elements, and in those cases I use a polyurethane finish that is typically used in the boating industry. I don’t use stains in my finishes, I prefer to let the natural beauty and color of the wood show.

  • Yes, that is real Stained Glass. Each piece of glass is hand cut and sized by me. I design my own patterns and choose the color of glass that goes into each panel. The stained glass technique I am using to create these pieces is called the copper foil technique, originally invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

  • I’m sorry, but I don’t take commissions.
